Anthony West has announced that he will race in the MotoGP World Championship next season.
A message on West's official Facebook page, states that the former factory Kawasaki MotoGP rider will "ride a CRT bike in MotoGP!"
A subsequent comment adds that West will ride for the Speed Master team.
West, a former 250GP and WSS race winner, has spent the last two seasons racing in Moto2 for MZ.
The 30-year-old Australian took a best finish of fourth (twice) this year, which was spent mainly on FTR machinery. He finished 22nd in the championship.
West also made 14 500cc starts on a privateer Honda during 2001.
Speed Master won three Moto2 races with Andrea Iannone this year.
