Lorenzo to miss Valencia MotoGP test

2010 MotoGP world champion Jorge Lorenzo has been ruled out of the Valencia test, which takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Factory Yamaha rider has been sidelined since losing the end of his left ring-finger during a warm-up fall in Australia on October 16.

The Spaniard, replaced by test rider Katsuyuki Nakasuga, was present in Valencia as a spectator for Sunday's season finale (pictured) and had hoped to be fit enough to participate in the first official 1000cc MotoGP test.

However Yamaha has now announced that Lorenzo - who finished as title runner-up to Casey Stoner this season - is still not fit enough to ride.
