Fittipaldi shows support for rookie Eric Granado

The two Brazilian athletes, rider Eric Granado of the JiR Moto2™ Team, and former Formula 1 driver Emerson Fittipaldi now share promotional projects and a sports marketing agency.

The promising young Brazilian rider, Eric Granado, who debuts in the Moto2™ class in 2012, begins his season campaign with the encouragement of a fellow racer and compatriot, former F1 world champion Emerson Fittipaldi. Granado has recently signed an agreement with a leading sports marketing agency, Momentum, of which the former Formula 1 driver is a part of.

The agreement represents a further step in the development of the Brazilian rider, who will also become the focus of several initiatives that are planned by JiR to create interest from the younger generation towards motorsport. In conjunction with this will be road riding education for young Brazilians, adding to the social mission that the team holds. Gianluca Montiron, the team’s principal, has just returned from Brazil where he spent time planning the year’s sporting program in Latin America.

Sao Paulo born Granado enters into a group of internationally known Brazilian athletes in several fields. Among them, in addition to Fittipaldi, are footbal players Luis Fabiano and Julio Cesar, driver Thiago Camilo, volleyball players Giovane Gavio, Murilo Endres and Jaqueline Carvalho, and captain of the national rugby team, Fernando Portugal.
