With fans eagerly anticipating the debut of the new Ducati Desmosedici, the following photo (at left) has just appeared internet, taken in the Sepang pit lane. Is this the new GP12?
At first glance the bike bears a strong resemblance to the GPZero tested last November at Valencia (photo below). Perhaps too strong a resemblance. Filippo Preziosi did say that the new bike will be visually similar to its predecessors, with the real changes coming under the fairings, but we also know that Ducati have taken some of the "older" versions to the test as well. With that in mind, we are going to call this a 'false alarm' and keep our eye out for the next shot.
