Technomag-CIP unveils its 2012 colors

The Swiss team presented the bikes that will compete in the categories of Moto2™ and Moto3™ with the 2012 official colors in a ceremony held on Wednesday at the Helvetian town of Verbier.

The Technomag-CIP Team (Moto2™) and Technomag-CIP TSR Team (Moto3™) unveiled their new colors in a presentation on Wednesday in the beautiful and snowy location of Verbier, Switzerland.

The riders of the two outfits—Swiss Domique Aegerter and Italian Roberto Rolfo in the intermediate category, and Frenchman Alan Techer in the new Moto3 class—arrived via a dog pulled sleigh with their bikes brought on snowplow machines. The fourth member of the structure, Kenta Fujii, who will accompany Techer on the Moto3 team was unable to attend the presentation, remaining in Japan for school commitments.

The riders were accompanied by the managers and owners of the team: Alain Bronec (co-owner), Olivier Metraux (CEO of CarXpert) and Fred Courmainboeuf (Team Manager) and by the technical staff.

Roberto Rolfo donor and testimonials ADMO

On the way back in the World Championship this year with the team Technomag CIP in the Moto2 class, Roberto Rolfo has decided in recent weeks, to become a donor and testimonial ADMO, Bone Marrow Donor Association. " I decided to become a donor ADMO with Walter, a friend I had not seen for some time, " says the pilot in Turin. "I approached this association and I decided to try to do something for people who unfortunately do not have some my luck.

The photo shows me during the blood sample for typing, or to determine how many options do I have to be compatible with those in need. I want this greeting to invite everyone to become donors, because with a gesture of ours we can give hope to those who really suffer! "

Meanwhile, Roberto Rolfo is preparing for the first test of the 2012 season with the clear intention of recovering the physical form as a result of the recent fracture (broken and exposed) of the patella in his left knee, remedied in a training session on mountain biking.

" In these weeks I am divided between training to mountain bike through the woods and stones and workouts at the gym to strengthen the muscles of his left leg a little '"backward" as it took just three months after the bad accident with the bike race. I will still take until the end of month to get in shape for running, just in time for the first test that the team has organized the circuit Ales 2-3 February. Then we will start with the IRTA test at Jerez, Valencia and again in late February! "

Roby Rolfo back on a Suter Moto2

Roberto Rolfo will return to the Moto2 Grand Prix category next season, following a somewhat disappointing year on a Pedercini Kawasaki in WSBK.  The Italian rider will be competing for Team CIP TechnoMag, and he recently traveled to Alès, France, to see visit their headquarters and meet the team. Roby will be back on a Suter for 2012, after acting a test rider early in the Swiss bike's development.  Talking about the trip was Rolfo himself, by way of his personal website.

"Hey everyone, how have you been?  I'm doing better all the time, and I'm extra excited after my first visit with the team!!! On Friday, December 16th, I was in Alès, Frace, to see the headquarters of my new squad :) 

"After a nice long trip from Lugano to the south of France, I must say that my reception was fantastic!!!  Waiting for me as I entered the race shop was a shiny new Suter Moto2, with the number 44 on the front!!!

"It felt great to get back on a race bike, and I really wanted to give it some Gasss!  I met my telemetry engineer, and the guys that will be working on my bike.  They are all young and very hungry to succeed :)

"After my first lunch with the team, we analyzed a few technical details thanks to some acquired data and a lap (in a car) of the Alès circuit near the team HQ.  We also made plans for our first test session, which will take place in early February.

After such a wonderful day, the long trip back to Switzerland was definitely more enjoyable!  So I'll soon be giving it Gasss again, and I want to wish you all HAPPY HOLIDAYS, AND REMEMBER TO STAY ON THE GASSS!!!”

Roberto Rolfo returns to Moto2 with Technomag-CIP team

The Italian rider made his return to the Moto2 class official by signing with the Swiss team for the 2012 Moto2 World Championship.

An official agreement between the Technomag-CIP team and Roberto Rolfo was signed on Tuesday, contracting the two to spend the next season together. The Italian teams up with Dominique Aegerter in his return to the Moto2 class after spending a year in World Superbike.

The team will again be fielding a Suter as they have in the past two seasons, which Rolfo helped the chassis builder develop in 2009. The experienced rider also won the Sepang GP and took a podium at Sachsenring aboard the Suter in 2010 when he was riding for the Italtrans Racing Team.

The rider from Turin is pleased to return to the World Championship with this new project:

"In 2010 we disputed the final race in Valencia Moto2 and then…things were left unfinished," said Rolfo, referring to his partnership with the Italian team that was not carried over into the 2011 season. "But you can’t leave things halfway; you fight to carry them out. And so I’m returning to Moto2 in 2012 with Technomag-CIP, a team led by Alain Bronec. I’m very happy because the team operates at a high level and has shown great professionalism over the years, working with very fast riders."

"I'm happy to be back riding a 600. It’s a motorcycle that I love and I really enjoy the high corner speeds with the bike!" continued the 31-year-old, who is currently recovering from a leg injury. "I'm getting better, my knee rehabilitation has been going well and I’m looking forward to getting back on a bike. In early December, the team will meet to plan the winter work program and work on getting set for the first race of a season that is very important to me."
