MotoGP star Alvaro Bautista is taking part in a joint venture in Zambia to help raise money to save lives on the African continent.
Bautista, who rode for the Rizla Suzuki MotoGP team this year before switching to Gresini Honda for 2012 following Suzuki's withdrawal from the blue riband class, is participating in the Riders for Health Experience Africa until the end of November.
The Spanish ace is accompanied by former Grand Prix star and Riders for Health co-founder Randy Mamola plus an enthusiastic group of fundraisers aiming to raise cash to aid the provision of healthcare and medicine in remote areas of the country.
They are travelling around Africa on two wheels and Bautista told MotoGP.com he was thrilled to be playing a role in the initiative.

“I am so pleased to be taking part in this amazing adventure to Zambia with Riders for Health," he said.
“I've been a supporter of Riders for Health for a long time and I can't wait to see the work that they are doing.
“The riding will be fantastic, and everyone who signs up and comes along to help raise money for Riders for Health will have an incredible time.”
