2007 125cc World Champion and former MotoGP rider Gabor Talmacsi is moving to four wheels in 2012, switching to rallying in his native Hungary.
Talmacsi, 30, will drive a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX in the Hungarian Rally Championship, which includes a round of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge, seen as a rival to the struggling World Rally Championship.
The motorcycle racing career of Talmacsi flamed out after he finished sixth in the Moto2 World Championship in 2010, a year after he floundered to 17th place in the standings in his only season of MotoGP.
