Successful foot surgery for Stefan Bradl

Moto2 World Champion Stefan Bradl underwent a successful surgery on his left foot to remove the hardware from an injury sustained while training in 2010.

The German rider was released from the hospital today and is recovering at home, and while still too sore to stand after yesterday’s procedure, he expects in a few day’s time that it will be improved enough bear weight on the foot.

The 21 year old is looking forward to begin training again, which he expects to be recovered enough to begin within two to three weeks. Outside of a possible short holiday, Bradl plans to spend his winter break in preparation for 2012 season, which will see him embark upon a new challenge aboard the LCR Honda in the MotoGP class.
