Jarvis: "The priority is to renew Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo"

The course 2012 is about to start with the official preseason test to be developed in Sepang from January 31 to February 2, a campaign full of great changes and interesting developments. Among them, no doubt, there is the fact that the best drivers in the championship finished, at the same time contract at the end of the year. Including Casey Stoner, Jorge Lorenzo, Dani Pedrosa, Andrea Dovizioso, Valentino Rossi and Ben Spies. This, no doubt, will make the season a hotbed of rumors about signings.

The first to make clear its intentions has been responsible in racing Yamaha's Lin Jarvis, who in a statement to Motorcycling Magazine has clearly expressed its renew interest in Jorge Lorenzo, who this year celebrates its fourth season with the Japanese.

"Keeping Jorge is key," said Jarvis. "All the top riders finished their contracts and negotiations will begin soon, so be very, very important to have George or Casey. No reason to wait, so we will move quickly tab. I think Yamaha Jorge is comfortable and where we can see face to face terms do not expect to feel like going anywhere else. A key factor is that our bike is competitive and that I trust. " renew But if Lorenzo is a priority for Yamaha, Spies continuity is not so, because with a single win in 2011, Assen, the American has garnered a disappointing course. "Except for his victory, Ben accumulated results have been disappointing and I'm sure he will also be disappointed and dissatisfied," continues Jarvis.

"I hope that next year Ben is able to do better, be more consistent and take clearly has the potential. Being consistent is everything. Casey won ten races so it is fairly constant, but George was always there. Apart from a couple of errors was always ahead and if did not win second or third. That's what to do. You need luck and preparation, not to make mistakes and be focused. Those are the things that Ben clearly has to work this year, "Jarvis concludes.
